Art Stricken

I thought maybe some scenic beauty would do after a couple of portrait posts and since the past week had been quite a hustle bustle I compiled these pretty old but never forgotten paintings I did years back.

These are the outcome of the constant urges of my art teacher in school :) First two are inspired on paintings out of a book and the last one is drawn inspired on a long lost picture

Blast of colors always raises an immense amount of energy. It does to me, what about you guys?

It took me an entire afternoon to paint the above one on a quarter of a normal chart, detailing being the essence.

Hope you guys like it and let me know what you think :)

Fashion - Dimensional Art

“Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.”

True isn't it?? I am a great fan of street style and just simply love and am obsessed with the ideas our own Indian Bloggers come up with :) They are so unique since Indian Style is a sensuous blend of ethnicity and high end!!

I am particularly obsessed with these two bloggers and their sense of style and fashion. Special mention to their pics which beautifully brings in the contrasts of their attire and the Indian background!!

Here, Cheers to these individuals who bring style on street!!!

Malavika Mohanan - from Pink-Struck

LOVE the lighting and the subtlety of ur snaps, not to mention the trend you pull off with ease and thank u for ur early appreciation!!
Ur pics are a treat to anyone whose heart is on a portrait!! First on the line being me!!

Karishma Rajani - from Purple-Peeptoes

LOVE ur blog in totality!! I think the first fashion blog i stumbled across was urs.. I had spent a good half a day just browsing through ur posts, which was a year back :)
Ur personal style, and the random street fashion you click and compile is an inspiration!!

I am extremely grateful to both these Bloggers who appreciated my passion!! Hope I did justice!!

Hope u guys like it and let me know what u think!!

South Indian Abode of Gods

Blessed was I to make this trip to Kanchipuram :)

It was honestly a very refreshing and exhilarating experience. Not only is the place divine and peaceful, it also  showcases pure beauty through art!! I spent a good two hours of my time walking around the oldest temple in South India, Kailasanathan temple, taking in as much as the beauty and serenity as I can :)

I happily clicked away around 100 pictures, but these are the ones I wanted to share with u guys since the sculptures and the temple premises are clicked and shared by many.

The temple was a bundle of surprises :) Not only is the temple made of a combination of Sandstone and many unknown materials (due to which the authorities are finding it difficult to preserve the temple), the sculptures were actually colorful years back!!!

Most of the colors have come off.. But I was elated to find some still remains :)
The detailing of the paintings and the blast of natural colors were an obvious treat to me!!

This one above is my personal favorite :) The dimensions are simply mind blowing.

Now I wanted to add in some of the paintings I drew, inspired from this trip :)

Kanchi Weave :)

South Indian Beauty!! :) Bindi, Nose ring, Curly hair.. No Fashion to beat that Ever :D

I am working on more based on this theme which I would like to share too, but I couldn't wait any longer !! That excited :) Would share some more when its done

Let me know what u guys think :)

P.S. All paintings are inspired from random pictures I found on net or clicked by me

Girl Power

There are lot of things which u first discover, endeavor, indulge and then forget, because u wouldn't have had the time to appreciate its actual importance. One such thing which happened to me, was my obsession to colors and my palette. Not that I have finally found time to pick up my art tools, its me making a conscious effort to let my mind speak through what I personally feel I do the best :)

I thought I'd rather start with my personal favorite theme - Girl Power

Hope u guys like it :) Keep me posted on what to think :)

P.S. All paintings are inspired from random pics I come across
